Welcome To Exit 0

Exit 0 is a faith based organization that has been serving The Southern Indiana area since November 2008. Meals and basic human needs are provided to The Jeffersonville area homeless and very low income families.
Our supplies are typically donated goods and at this moment we have the use of a small garage from Bales where we house a small bike repair area, supply storage and do a meal service once a week from that facility.
We have a mobile unit that goes out and about in the community each evening with supplies and necessary items for our various meal service locations, which are different local churches. There is only 1 shelter in this area and it is expected to cover 7 local counties but it is obviously very stressed for space and resources. Due to the shelters limitations one of the greatest needs the homeless seek (outside of shelter) is a shower and laundry facility.
Exit 0 operates strictly on donations. We have no paid staff  but are blessed with an army of faithful volunteers. While the city of Jeffersonville operates on a 10 year plan we need to do something to help these forgotten and overlooked people now.
We are working toward becoming a “teach a man to fish” ministry. We point them in the direction to get proper identification , and help encourage them to get gainful employment if able, but without access to showers or clean clothes even if they are able to get a job, keeping it becomes difficult. Obviously, the ministry has great need for a facility and it could or would have many uses.
There is a need for an office space to stay organized  but the ultimate goal is a day shelter that could help with resources, lockers, showers, medication storage and laundry facility.  We understand that this is a lofty goal but these are the needs that through Christ, we are trying to meet.
“For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, you shall open wide your hands to your brother, to the needy and to the poor in your land.” Deuteronomy 15:11
