We are currently getting several messages regarding an unhoused individual on Eastern blvd. We are fully aware of this and have been working with her along side with Lifesprings Path program for several weeks now. We started to get reports earlier this morning about an individual in the middle of the road with a shopping cart. We sent the outreach team to attenpt to locate her later in the day and she was by the expressway in a very dangerous area and then received the first picture. We did like any citzen should do and that was contact pd due to us knowing her and her behavior and something was not right.. This lead to a second trrip for Exit 0 on the ramp just missing PD who told her to stay out of traffic and continued on. Exit 0 has attempted to report her well being to prevent the next incident as you see below with the state police. We ask please use caution in this area we are not sure of this outcome as of yet. Makes ya wonder how well trained are officers in our community are trained to handle these mental health cases. Please keep L in your prayers and appriciate everyones concerns

Today, our teams began loading gear and food (Thank you, Domino's 10th Street for the awesome donation) as we prepared for a limited route. This route was essential because many people in our community are facing relocation due to an upcoming area clearance on the 13th. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, we advised several individuals to connect with us tomorrow between 1 and 1:30 PM. Our goal is to provide case management and help them link to the Path program, which is the only agency that has offered support to us so far.

As we work through these challenges, many individuals have found new places to stay and are gradually moving their belongings. Unfortunately, some are still struggling and others have turned to other shelter options because they have monthly checks coming in. We continue to support a handful of those who are still seeking solutions due to many barriers. Our commitment to assisting them remains strong as we work diligently to ensure they have a safe place to go.

In these trying times, we ask everyone to keep our unhoused friends in your thoughts and prayers. The upcoming days are critical for those facing relocation, and we hope that with continued support, we can help them find stability. The Path program and our outreach efforts are vital to making connections and improving their circumstances. Together, let's lend a hand and show compassion for those in need, ensuring they know they are not alone during this difficult period.

Today was a very busy day at the outreach program, filled with warmth and gratitude. We had the pleasure of serving a delicious meal to our unhoused family, and we owe a huge thank you to Theresa Lamb and her team at Theresa J. Lamb State Farm
in New Albany. Their generosity made the day special, as they provided an amazing meal that brought smiles to many faces. Jan and her family made the desserts and homemade ice cream sandwiches. These acts of kindness remind us of the impact that community support can have on those in need.

Theresa and her team have been with Exit 0 for many years, creating strong bonds with our unhoused friends. They have become more than just supporters; they have become family. Their dedication to helping others has shown how compassionate and caring people can be. It is heartwarming to see such long-lasting relationships build within the community. These connections strengthen our outreach efforts and allow us to provide a supportive environment for everyone involved.

If you're in need of insurance or simply looking for a quote, we highly recommend reaching out to Theresa Lamb at State Farm. Her knowledge and commitment to helping families make her a trusted resource in our community. Thank you to everyone who helped with today's meal
