Braun signs Indiana's homeless camping ban into law. Here's what it does
Violators of Indiana's new homeless camping ban could face fines or jail time. But the law includes protections and gives local leaders some leeway.

Make your voice heard and say NO to criminalizing homelessness

🚨TAKE ACTION NOW🚨 We have until Monday, March 9th to urge Governor Braun to VETO SB 285, the homelessness criminalization bill. Homeless Hoosiers should not be punished due to lack of services and affordable housing! Use your voice and email Governor Braun TODAY: https://secure.ngpvan.com/WBUZpb9T1ECRXJ0GiHguzA2

We would like to share an update about a remarkable friend who has touched many hearts with her inspiring journey. You may remember the incident back in December during the cold snap when she was wheeled outside of Clark late at night by security. Unfortunately, despite several attempts to find her the help she needed in Clark County, the system fell short. This led her to be sent to a hospital many days later in Louisville on Christmas Day, where she could be treated by her spine doctor.

During her time in Louisville, she faced many challenges, spending weeks in traction to help straighten her spine. In total, she underwent 13 surgeries aimed at repairing her spine and aiding her recovery. It has been a long and difficult road, but her determination has shone through. We are relieved to report that her recovery is going well; just a couple of weeks ago, she took her first step, which is a huge milestone in her recovery process.

As she continues her rehabilitation, we ask everyone to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She is working hard to regain her strength and learn how to walk again, and your support means a lot during this challenging time. Her spirit and bravery inspire us all, reminding us of the importance of community and compassion. Thank you for standing by her side as she makes progress on her journey to recovery
