Although Isaias is a shell of its former self it will still bring widespread rain later today along with winds gusting 25-35 mph. Isolated places could see gusts up to 40 mph! Rainfall totals by Sunday night will generally be under an inch although a few places could see 2-3" in heavier rain showers east of I-65. Eventually winds weaken by Sunday morning and rain moves away by Sunday afternoon.

Today marks Snip Clinic day at Exit 0, where over 80 cats are receiving spay or neuter services. This event, organized in partnership with Public Vet, highlights the ongoing effort to control the local cat population and promote responsible pet ownership. The dedicated team at Public Vet has been instrumental in providing these essential services, ensuring a healthier future for community cats. In the spirit of humane animal advocacy, we believe that Bob Barker would be proud of this impactful initiative.

A heartfelt gratitude goes out to Heaven's Eyes for their generous meal donation last night, which served many individuals in need. This act of kindness not only provided nourishment but also brought comfort and warmth to those who may otherwise have gone hungry. Such contributions play a vital role in supporting the community, especially during colder months. Organizations like Heaven's Eyes show us the power of compassion and collaboration when it comes to helping those who are less fortunate.

In addition to the meal, the dedication of our volunteers has been remarkable. They worked tirelessly to provide essential services such as 17 showers and 10 loads of laundry for the unhoused community. These efforts are crucial in maintaining dignity and hygiene for individuals experiencing homelessness. The time and energy these volunteers invest make a significant difference, highlighting the importance of community support in addressing such pressing issues during challenging times.

With temperatures dropping into the low 50s this week, the distribution of cold-weather gear has become increasingly important. Our volunteers have focused not only on providing food and showers but also on ensuring that our unhoused friends have access to warm clothing and other essentials. This comprehensive approach to care demonstrates a deep understanding of the needs in our community. Together, through the efforts of organizations and volunteers, we can create a supportive environment that helps those in need endure the cold and challenging weather conditions.

Mental health is real on the streets instead of getting them commited for the help they need lets just lock em up this is just 1 of many who are sitting in jail cause America says they can act this instead of getting them the mental health help they need before something happens.
